Transforming Construction: BETTABUILDER makes sourcing pros, gear effortless

The BETTABUILDER Marketplace

In an effort to make construction easier for homeowners, developers, businesses and other project owners to source professionals, services and equipment, BETTABUILDER has launched its Marketplace, a technology-driven platform designed to simplify connections across Nigeria’s construction and real estate sectors.

The Marketplace was unveiled at a press conference in Lagos on October 1, 2026, as part of BETTABUILDER’s broader ambition to address practical challenges within the construction and real estate sectors, particularly the difficulty of finding the right professionals, coordinating different service providers and accessing reliable construction resources.

Speaking at the launch, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of BETTABUILDER, Oladotun Oladapo, said the idea was driven by real-world experiences within construction and property development.

“The problem we are solving is not simply about technology. It is about making construction connections easier, more structured and more accessible,” he said.

The BETTABUILDER Marketplace brings together contractors, artisans, architects, engineers, suppliers, equipment providers and construction companies, with a location-based approach intended to help users discover relevant professionals and services for their projects.

The platform is designed to serve homeowners, property developers, facility managers, people planning to build and Nigerians in the diaspora managing construction projects remotely.

Speaking at the event, Omoruyi ‘Uyilaw’ Edoigiawerie, Esq., LLM, Founder and Lead Partner, E and C Legal, highlighted the importance of professionalism, proper documentation and responsible engagement within the construction and real estate ecosystem.

Also speaking, Engr. Sam Okosun emphasised the importance of engaging qualified and competent professionals, noting the risks associated with undertaking construction projects without appropriate expertise.

He described the need for better professional connections as an important part of building a more organised construction ecosystem.

The launch also featured Mr. Alvin Cheng of SANY Group, who expressed support for the BETTABUILDER Marketplace concept and discussed opportunities for collaboration in heavy construction equipment.

The proposed collaboration could create opportunities for Marketplace users to access equipment solutions while connecting equipment providers with professionals and businesses requiring heavy machinery for construction projects.

Bettabuilder positions the Marketplace as more than a digital platform, describing itself as a construction and real estate problem-solver that combines practical development experience, industry knowledge and technology to improve how people find and engage construction solutions.

Following the launch, BETTABUILDER said it would focus on expanding its professional network and building an ecosystem where clients can find relevant construction solutions while professionals gain greater visibility and access to potential opportunities.

The company said its initiative is aimed at connecting construction stakeholders and simplifying development through technology, industry knowledge and practical experience.
