Aigbe to promote cultural ties with ‘Ada Omo Daddy’

Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has told Nigerians to watch out for her soon-to-be released movie, ‘Ada Omo Daddy,’ billed to hit the cinema on December 15. According o her, the movie aims to promote cultural ties between Igbo and Yoruba ethnic groups.

Aigbe said this at the film’s preview in Lagos, stressing that the movie preaches forgiveness, love, diversity management, unity and reconciliation among two of the three Nigerian major ethnic groups.

She added that ‘Ada Omo Daddy’ would drive critical conversations and constructive argument when released, noting that her choice of actors and actresses for the movie is to knit the old breeds in Nollywood with green horns.

On his part, the movie’s co-Executive Producer, Kazim Adeoti, said the movie provides insight on what women and men go through in society and how to navigate the ugly time Nigerians are experiencing.
“This is a large scale project. Though I have had about 15-year experience in the industry, what I learnt from the set was different. You won’t be disappointed. It is a movie from which you would learn a lot because it is educative with a lot of take homes.”
