American brand appoints ‘home girl’ Oghenekaro Itene as Ambassador

A Nigerian-born but United States-based actress and model Oghenekaro Itene has secured an endorsement deal with a leading United States herbal supplements manufacturer. Itene who hit the right notes and became notable after she featured in the 2019 American action thriller ‘Chase’ disclosed on her social media handle that she had inked a deal as Nature Herbal Life Brand Ambassador.

Nature Herbal Life is reputed as a leading US manufacturer of Herbal Supplements, which includes the famous Bitter Leaf Capsules and Bitter Leaf Tea. A regular face on some of the prestigious film events in the Hollywood and in Nollywood, Oghenekaro had, prior to her sojourn to America to fulfill her dream starred in some productions in Nigeria and South Africa. Best known in Nigeria for her role in the epic movie ‘’Esohe’’, Oghenekaro worked as a make-up artiste before she later left for South Africa, where she served the movie and music video industry as a make up artiste. She also did some acting jobs on the side.

Her most pronounced acting performance is playing Jayla in ‘Chase’, a movie that was written, directed and co-produced by Michael Matteo Rossi and Katrina Y. Nelson. Chase had its film festival world premiere at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival in 2019. With lots of critical acclaims in most of her roles, the sky is the limit for Oghenekaro whom close observer say has emerged a delight for advertisers who see her personality as appropriate to drive the marketing goals of their brands.
