Fast-rising Nigerian RnB and afro-pop artiste signed to US-based recording outfit, Anacaona Records, Salam Sadiq Babatunde, well known as Zidiq, has released a new single titled African Mama, which lauds the beauty of the African woman.

The single, which was released across digital platforms stores including Apple music, iTunes, Soundcloud, Deezer, and Shazam among others, under his new recording management, Anacaona Records is currently receiving airplay across top Radio stations in Nigeria.

Speaking in a Radio interview monitored by The Guardian, the vocalist and songwriter, asserted that his uniqueness in the music space is his undying love for house music, which cannot be underplayed in what inspires his unique style.

Zidiq has also never hidden his admiration for the vocal prowess of Wande Coal, the energetic vibes of Burna Boy as well as the royal swaggz of the queen of house music, Niniola.

In African Mama, the multi-talented vocal powerhouse dexterously sang the praise of the irresistible beauty of the African woman, such as the beautiful face, external elegance shape, great hair and smooth skin, among other unique qualities that stands the African woman out — a perfect mix of both the physical beauty and internal beauty.

Beyond eulogising the physical beauty of the ‘African mama’ in this feet-and-body-moving jam, Zidiq also took time to analyse the internal beauty, which is made up of love, indefatigable care, compassion, respect, wisdom, faithfulness, truthfulness and non-violence.

African Mama, according to the Economics graduate is the sum of human cherished values that sets African women apart among their counterparts. It is the first of its kind not just Nigeria but in the African music scene

Zidiq is pioneering a new genre, which he called Afro Electronic Dance Music (AEDM), a perfect blend of the widely accepted Afro sound, laced with energetic electro dance tune, a brainchild of Anacaona records. The satisfactorily tune is produced and mixed by Irish producers, Brian Sheil and Alex Flood..

Born in Lagos in the early 90s, Zidiq had his primary and secondary education in Lagos before proceeding to the University, for his degree in Economics. He began his music career in 2013, when he got signed to Brooklyn World Entertainment (BWE), and release his first the track titled I Pray under the label.

Not resting as a result of the success recorded so far, more projects, the singer said are coming from the stables of the international record label headed by Michel Dessources Jr, which is also home to other super talented artistes from across Africa and beyond.
