It was all frenzy, as Power Oil health team stormed Port Harcourt NYSC Orientation Camp in Rivers State to welcome the new batch of corp members, while sensitizing them, alongside members of staff, on the significance of leading a healthy conscious lifestyle.

The Health Team was present along with its medical professionals and took the staff and Corp members on a health talk centered on significant factors contributing to leading a sound and healthy life in relations to the heart.

The organisation also offered free basic medical checkup (BMI, Blood Pressure, and Body temperature), medical consultation/nutritional advice and also afforded participants the opportunity to directly experience the nutritious taste and quality of the brand through some products donation for cooking at the camp.

Addressing the corps members, Omotayo Azeez, Public Relations Manager, Power Oil, said, “as the need to further reach out to more Nigerians becomes more imperative, we are more than delighted to also partner with the Rivers State NYSC, by extending our reach to cover more youths, considering the alarming rate of health complications which we believe sometimes could be avoided through proper enlightenment and regular checkups, and that is what we are trying to achieve.”

She added: “Beyond our community outreach plans, we are also working with the conviction that everyone deserves to benefit from this life impacting project irrespective of your localities which is the reason behind the extension drive into other strategic institutions such as churches, mosques and schools and NYSC Camps.”

Also speaking, Amisha Chawla, Brand Manager, Power Oil, said, “as part of the corporate social responsibility of Power Oil, we felt the need to offer something more to our consumers considering the costs of accessing medical check-up in the country and the low level of awareness on the need to stay healthy”.

The Rivers State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corp, Mr. Omotayo Adewoye expressed his profound appreciation to Power Oil on the partnership exercise while stressing the significant benefits of leading a healthy life.
