
Disclosing this, in a statement, the Chairman of the 40th anniversary planning committee, Akinola Bashiru, explained that the club’s President, High Chief Olurotimi Aina-Kushoro and other executive members are expected to lead all the programmes.
Bashiru quoted the club’s president as saying, “we want to ensure that many people in Ipaja and its environs benefit in the exercise particularly in the detection, treatment of eye defects, and general body checks at this trying period. This programme, which is targeted at women and children in Ipaja area of Lagos will be provided free of charge for any ailments.”
The week-long activities include the club’s visitation to the less privileged homes where gifts would be presented as well as the unveiling of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project on October 22, 2024. While there will be sporting activities and games on October 23, other events include free medical outreach on October 24.
Jumat service for members to commemorate the anniversary holds on October 25, and later in the day, there will be members’ night and induction of honorary members. Annual General Meeting (AGM) holds on October 26, at 12noon and Gala Night at 4:00p.m.
FLOCOH Club Ipaja has been in the forefront of giving back to its immediate environment for years. The celebration will end with a church thanksgiving service on October 27, 2024.
