The pretty actress was credited as Jayla in the movie that tells the story of the hit-man, Chase, and his best friend, Miles, who demands loyalty from him, while Chase’s girlfriend, Blair, wants him out of the business and distanced from Miles.
Written, directed and co-produced by Michael Matteo Rossi and Katrina Y. Nelson, Chase had its film festival world premiere at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival penultimate Tuesday, where it secured the ‘Best Action film’ award. It has already been selected to feature at the Bare Bones Film Festival in Oklahoma and the Boston International Film Festival in April, both in the United States.
The movie features actors, such as Damien Puckler, Aries Spears, Jessica Morris and Skype Townsend. Set for cinema release soon, its promoters have promised moviegoers to see a lot of action that would create lots of anxious moments. Speaking on the movie, Rossi said: “Chase really is a roller-coaster of a ride. I feel there’s a lot of stinging emotion mixed with some action and a lot of unique kills from our lead hit man.
“It will definitely be a bloody journey for the characters involved that the audience will be invested in.”Best known in Nigeria for her role in the epic movie, Esohe, Oghenekaro worked as a make-up artiste before she later left for South Africa, where she served the movie and music video industry as a make up artiste. She also did some acting jobs on the side. With Chase now out, the sky is the limit for the proudly ‘naija’ actress, model and make up actress.
