As a host on the popular TV programme, Jara, how has it further boosted your career?
Jara was on Africa Magic every week for 11 years and it is one of the most watched channels in Africa, which is huge and a big deal. So, of course it boosted my career; it kept my face in the minds of people and it advertised me to other people who were looking for a talent like mine.

Any challenges so far in the course of your career?
There are definitely challenges, but I choose not to see them as challenges, I look at them as experiences that hold and shape me to be who I am today.

I love to have Starch and Banga, with assorted meat and fresh fish.

Uti is whoever you believe him to be and perceive him to be, I have no intention of changing that, because my friends don’t need an explanation and my enemies will never believe me.

What was work for you like during the COVID phase and now that there’s Omicron?
I went through the period just like everyone else; slow period, anxiety, uncertainty, acceptance, gratitude, love and knowing what is important and what is not. I went through it all and here I am today, God has been faithful and he has blessed me regardless of what we have been through.

Where do you hope to see Uti in the nearest future?
I don’t know; I hate to predict these things. I only look on to God and trust him to take me to where I want to be

Just as you have said, it is a season of love, sharing, giving, forgiveness and gratitude. This should be extended to everyone around us. Christ is the reason for the season, spread love, be patient, don’t rush, take it easy, be kind to one another and most importantly, go through your personal spiritual awakening.
