David Udi Muogho For Burial Today
OLOROGUN David Udi Muogho, the Ogbu of Udu Kingdom, Delta State, who passed on February 2, 2015 at the age of 82 years will be buried today.
The Late Olorogun Muogho was born in 1933 at Iyeghe quarters Aladja Town, Udu Local Government Area of the old Western region now Delta State to the late Mr. and Mrs. Opwinini Muogho. He was the third son of his father, Mr. Opwinini Muogho and the first of his mother, Mrs. Kukube Muogho Nee Kolokor.
He grew up in Aladja and attended African Church Primary School but was unable to complete his studies due to the death of his father.
He relocated to Forcados to live with his uncle, Mr. Oriuno Affun, while at Forcados, Papa learnt various trade but later returned to Aladja. He got married to Grace Whowha in 1960 and their marriage was blessed with children.
Papa worked with Julius Berger in the 80’S and joined the services of Aladja Primary Health Care (PHC) under the auspices of Udu Local Government before his death. He was a successful businessman.
Papa was a community leader, a civil servant and a strict adherent to tradition. He was a member of the renowned ‘Fear No Man Boys Club of Aladja in the 1950’s, Aladja Ogwuvie traditional council and also a member of the Aladja Elders Council. Papa was inducted a Chief into the Igbu Traditional Council on the 13th day of March, 2008 and also as the “Ogbu” of Udu Kingdom and his wife, chief (Mrs.) Grace E. Muogho as the “Ariemuchuko” of Udu Kingdom.
