If you can think ‘Beyond The Box’, you can design it. This is what the 2022 Design Week Lagos (DWL) that commenced on Thursday October 19, 2022 in Lagos is showcasing with its interior and exterior design fittings.

The exhibitors mirror sophistication in architectures, woodwork pieces, artworks, upholsteries, beddings, kitchen designs, accessories and utensils, mats, furniture and others.

More importantly, the organisers and designers ensured dropping of touches of Africanism on the surfaces just before His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Oniru of Iru land officially cut the ribbons to declare the event opened.

Throwing light on the 5-day event, Founder of DWL, Titi Ogufere, said: “DWL was conceived to present and celebrate the best in contemporary African design across categories. And in this ongoing event, DWL is promoting African design culture to foster economic growth. This is why we brought international field leaders and visitors to experience the most exciting work from our creativity and innovation across disciplines, including architecture, industrial design, interior design, furniture design, graphics design, and technology.”

As the event progresses with a unique lineup of phenomenal African designers, the spotlight is on the award-winning international superstar designer, Ini Archibong, who will be sitting in conversation with Ogufere and putting up a practical workshop.
