Ellyman steps out with Got The Money

After years of struggling to gain acceptance in the industry, Elias Sunday Ogbu’s effort seems to be yielding some results lately. Since he penned a record with Imo Record, things are starting to look bright for the Benue State native popularly known as Ellyman.

Just recently, the artiste dropped his latest single, Got The Money, a track that will form part of his forthcoming album. To sample the track for music critics, the singer also organized a mini listening session where music reporter had the opportunity of listening to the new track, as well as watching some of his musical video.

While speaking with showbiz reporters, Ellyman thanked his parents for their support for his music career, especially his mother, who was a choir leader in the church.

“All through my tough times, my parents were with me, especially my mother. For many years, I devoted my time listening to Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and his music greatly influenced me,” he said.

Meanwhile, Got the Money is Ellyman’s second hit song. The song was released along the video shot by celebrity music video director, Unlimited LA. The song is available online in major digital music download portal such as iTune and tooxclusive and on-air on major radio stations and cable TV. Since the release, the track has continued to receive massive airplays and comments on social media.

“I’m a versatile artiste, who wants to make a difference in the music industry. I’ve got lots of songs with good lyrics. My team and I are ready to give lovers of good music what they want,” he said.

Though an artiste, Ellyman has been working as a producer over the years, working with some notable names in the industry.

“I’ve been here for a very long time, but I feel this is my time. I’ve produce for so many artistes in Nigeria, but I’m here to showcase myself. I want to thank my record label for all their support; they have been helpful in taking the message out there,” he said.
