“There will be 16 sports and games, which include football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, swimming, athletics, lawn tennis, scrabble, walkathon and others. We thought of making it a sports festival, but we are also using it as a medium where Amuwo Odofin Local Government can discover new talents. We took care of our working class individuals, so these games will only old during the weekends,” he said.

Speaking at the event, the Amuwo Odofin Local Council chairman Valentine Buraimoh applauded the organisers for their efforts, adding that it is not just a medium to unify Amuwo residents, but also a platform that will help discover and nurture athletes in the area.

Lagos Sports Commission and Amuwo Odofin Local Government proudly support the sports festival.
