The 16th edition of the Headies Awards – an awards ceremony that has continued to reward exceptional talents in Nigeria’s entertainment industry is set to take place in Atlanta, Georgia in September 2023.
Ahead of this year’s edition of the Headies, the CEO of Citadel Views Estate, Ned Okonkwo, has partnered with the event’s organisers to reward the winner of the Rookie of the Year Category with a brand new house.
Okonkwo believes that it is a means of encouraging upcoming lyrical talents who continue to break the barriers in pursuit of their dreams, setting new strides in the musical industry. He stated that a house at Citadel Views Estate, which is a leading resort in providing convenience to Nigerians would be awarded to the lucky winner.
“Extending this gesture is one of my numerous ways of encouraging young musicians out there. I want to be part of the success stories of people who have thought it right to defy all odds and achieve their dreams. It will be a great opportunity for me to sow the seed of a house in Citadel Views Estate, the first fully solar-powered estate in Nigeria, to the Rookie of the Year at the Headies Award 2023” he stated.
The race for this year’s Rookie of the Year Award is expected to be a tight one. The list of nominees contains several exciting Afrobeat sensations, including Odumodu Blvck, Bayyani, Guchi, Eltee Skhillz, Bloody Civilian, and Khaid.
