Kemsitrydiva set to release new movie, Plan B
• Floats Advocacy Campaign Against Child Abuse
Notable actress, producer, director and compere Kemi Adekomi who is popular as Kemistrydiva, has announced that her new movie, which she directed, Plan B, is ready for public viewing.
Produced by Kemistrydiva Production, Plan B revolves around a woman who is thrown into confusion on whether to be on the side of her son or stand for the truth when she discovers that the lady her son brought back home is in fact not his fiancée. Promoted as a movie that is suspense-filled, it stars some notable Nollywood actors including Ricardo Agbor, Christy Okonkwo (madam Ebano), and Queeneth Agbor.
Aside the release of the movie, Kemistrydiva disclosed that she has floated an advocacy platform against all forms of child sexual molestation. The platform, which she said was specifically set up to “fight the scourge that has destroyed so many lives and homes is called Movement Against Child Sexual Abuse (MACSA).
“I have over the years been a strong advocate for the fight against child sexual molestation/abuse, but now, I want to go all out to start a campaign/advocacy group and I want women and men who are also passionate about this cause to join me, with ideas on how to fight this ‘battle’ that is eating deep into our system,’’ the actress said, adding, “as a filmmaker and with the support of my friends and colleagues, we hope to lend our voices through the film to fight this menace.”
She further stated, “there is a need for us to get aggressively involved in the fight against child sexual abuse; lending our voices, talents, presence, time and energies to social media platforms, physical activities, and other available platforms to change negative social norms and to end sexual abuse against children. I hope to use all resources within my power to speak against the menace, including an advocacy film we are set to make called Dark Clouds.”
Kemi has so far signed movies such as Vendatta, The Last Straw and The End Game as Producer. Plan B, which she also produced, is her debut movie as a director.
