It has been stated time and time again that women look more appealing when their hair is made or well arranged. When a hair looks great, it adds confidence to the carrier and attracts more attention from the male folks.

While it may not be the major determinant of a woman’s beauty, hair complements the beauty and Nkem Ngbeken Tonweh, the Chief Executive Officer of Natty Cole Beauty Studio, a Nigerian entrepreneur based in Italy is unequivocal about the importance of hair to a woman’s beauty.

She is of the opinion that no matter how nicely dressed a woman is, if her hair is not tidy then she isn’t ready to show up. She holds that hair contributes hugely to a woman’s beauty.

“A good hair brings out in a lady that self confidence locked within. It gives us a different vibe. A different personality which we always forget we have. Hair is life. Hair is everything in beauty. With good hair we can move mountains. A woman’s beauty is incomplete without good hair” she said

Although I think beauty is relative, it comes from within, beauty means elegance and class and I believe everyone is beautiful in their own right but I believe hair can maximize a lady’s beauty in the sense that, hair is likely the first thing anyone would notice about an individual. Therefore having good hair is very important as it helps in enhancing the confidence of a woman making her look gorgeous,” she added.

Nkem Ngbeken Tonweh founded Natty Cole Beauty Studio in 2014 after she had tested the terrain with Afro Hair School by Mimi which she later sold, in Farawar Bergamo, Italy.

She specializes in hair extensions, wigs, braids and dreadlocks. The Natty Cole Beauty Studio also engages in training where courses are offered to people who wish to learn about braids, hair extensions and dreadlocks.

According to her, she decided to venture into the hair business when she discovered through a profound research that there was no place in Italy where all about Afro hair extensions and braids could be learnt.

At one point she also ran a lingerie shop but her major attraction is hair extensions and braids and with much hardwork and resilience she has found a niche in a country far away from home.

Nkem Ngbeken Tonweh is from Delta State but born in Benin City, Edo State. She attended Lydia Primary School and Presentation National High School ( all girls Catholic boarding school) in Benin. She relocated to Rome, Italy immediately after her secondary school.
