Sheraton Abuja plans chocolate day celebration

Chocolate cake can be traced back to the mid-17th century when it was discovered that grinding cocoa beans between heavy stones produced Cocoa Powder, which was turned into chocolate.

History has it that later on the method of extracting fat from the Cacao liquor to produce Cacao butter gave rise to the Chocolate cake. Foodies and chocolate enthusiasts commemorate this discovery every January 27.

In harmony with the Nigerian Autumn (Harmattan) and in a bid to deliver excitement in January, Sheraton Abuja Hotel teams are once again offering something delectable as they go beyond for friends and families.

According to the General Manager of the Hotel – Nouman Irshad, “We are happy to start this year with a lineup of creative and compelling food and beverage activities for our patrons.

“We look forward to welcoming all our diners and in-house guests to an exceptional experience on January 27; we will celebrate chocolate day in all our restaurant venues”

“At the Papillion Restaurant, our guests will enjoy our mouthwatering black forest cake which is one of our specialties from our very own Chef Maroof and team. While at the Obudu and Luigi’s Restaurants our female diners will be treated to a chunk of wholesome rich chocolate cake slices.

“Those visiting our Pool Bar and Restaurant will not be left out of our free offer of chocolatey forest goodness as the cake will be presented to female diners at the Pool Bar and Restaurant as well.

“Creating unforgettable experiences and Wow moments is what we are all about. Our teams are always on the lookout for opportunities to deliver those enriching experiences that linger in the memories of our guests”.

“Our Chocolate day will definitely illuminate the eyes and spark off your taste buds,” he said.
