The Southern Sun Ikoyi will come alive later today, as the hotel is set to excite guests with the launch of its Ethnic Saturday Night.Commencing the launch with an Igbo themed event tagged Igbo Amaka, Southern Sun Ikoyi is set to promote tourism through the Igbo culture, as it plans to treat guests with a traditional cuisine designed to appeal to an array of palettes whilst providing more exquisite options for guests to enhance their culinary experience

The Ethnic Saturday Night experience is one that further positions the hotel as the preferred destination for local and foreign guests, as they seek to enjoy a memorable experience of the local cultures within Nigeria in an environment reminiscent of the local traditional settings.

Subsequent Saturday Nights at the hotel would further represent an ambience that represents the ethnic culture on menu. Celebrating with local music, décor and an appealing menu for all.

Igbo Amaka at Southern Sun Ikoyi is set to provide guests with a menu spoilt for choice as it showcases an array of appetizing starter meal options ranging from; Ugba, Abacha, Oseoji, Akwu and Akin ukwa while other traditional meals like Nkwobi and Isiewu are also available on the menu alongside local palm wine to complement these delicacies.

Other main meals on menu at the launch includes; Ofe owerri, ofe okazi, ofe ukpo, ofe nsala, ofe onughu, Ofe an’ara, ofe akwoko, ofe mpoto, ofe achar, ofe akwu, Oha, ofe aragha and others.The Ethnic Saturday Night experience is one aimed at promoting and celebrating the uniqueness of the various cultures within the country through their cuisine.
