The iconic OVO Arena Wembley is set to host a groundbreaking event on 26th July 2025 as the Afrobeats Legends Festival makes its historic debut in the United Kingdom. Bringing together some of Africa’s most celebrated musical pioneers and stars, this festival promises a night of electrifying performances and a grand celebration of the genre’s rich heritage and global influence.

At the helm of this monumental event is Kennis Music, the legendary Nigerian record label that played a pivotal role in shaping Afrobeats. Established in the late 1990s by Kehinde “Keke” Ogungbe and Dayo “D1” Adeneye, Kennis Music is renowned for discovering and nurturing talents such as 2Baba, Sound Sultan, Tony Tetuila, and the late Goldie Harvey. The label, alongside partners BEN TV, Bullion Records, 100% Entertainment, and DLA Media, is bringing this cultural milestone to London.

A Stellar Line-Up of Legends and Rising Stars
The festival will feature iconic performances from Afrobeats legends and emerging talents:

  • 2Baba: The timeless voice behind African Queen, whose artistry has earned international acclaim.
  • 9ice: Known for his fusion of Yoruba proverbs with Afrocentric beats, including the hit Gongo Aso.
  • Cool DJ Jimmy Jatt: Africa’s trailblazing DJ and mentor to many of today’s stars.
  • May7ven: The “Queen of Afrobeats,” celebrated for hits like Ten Ten.
  • Ayo Maff and GYC: Representing the genre’s next generation with captivating performances.

Complementing the live acts will be top Afrobeats DJs, surprise appearances, and a vibrant showcase of the genre’s evolution from nostalgic classics to contemporary hits dominating global charts.

The Afrobeats Experience
The Afrobeats Legends Festival will be more than a concert—it’s a celebration of African culture, creativity, and rhythm. Attendees can expect high-energy performances, unforgettable collaborations, and an atmosphere pulsating with the spirit of Afrobeats.
