Afrobeats to the world as Rema, Ruger named headline acts for Afro Jam Festival


It will be an ultimate celebration of Afrobeats in Japan, as organisers of the Afro Jam Festival 2025 have announced Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, and Michael Adebayo Olayinka, known professionally as Ruger, as headline acts for the music feast.

The festival will hold in three cities Okinawa, Osaka and Tokyo in July. The festival kicks off in Okinawa at the Suntory Arena from July 17 to 20, 2025, featuring performances by Rema, Ruger, Jason Derulo, The Wailers, Saweetie, Gyakie, Shenseea, and others.

Next, the festival moves to Osaka’s Ookini Arena Maishima from July 22 to 24, 2025. The lineup includes Afrobeats sensations such as Shatta Mafia, Lauryn, and Amanda Par, alongside other talented performers who will keep the energy high and the crowd dancing.

Finally, the festival concludes in Tokyo at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza from July 25, 2025, to July 27, 2025. The Tokyo leg of the festival will feature headliners like Jason Derulo, Rema, and Shenseea, along with a host of other talented artists, ensuring a grand finale to this musical extravaganza.
