Burna Boy, the reach fete 300 families in community initiative
After setting clubs and airwaves ablaze with his latest hit single, Bundle by Bundle, Grammy-winning Afro-fusion artiste Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, well known as Burna Boy, has proven that his influence extends far beyond music.
In collaboration with The REACH Foundation, the African Giant hitmaker led a remarkable outreach last December to the Okarki community in Ahoada West, touching the lives of over 300 families.
Organised by The Reach Foundation with Burna Boy as the sponsor, the outreach initiative provided much-needed support to residents of Okarki. According to CEO of The REACH, Benedicta Ayerite, the initiative was designed to spread hope, joy and relief during the yuletide season, adding that it further emphasised the Odogwu crooner’s commitment to uplifting marginalised communities in Nigeria.
She said, “We are deeply honoured to partner with Burna Boy to bring hope and joy to the Okarki community during the holiday season. Through the outreach, we provided food supplies to 300 families, impacting an estimated 1,800 individuals.
“This initiative reflects our shared commitment to making a meaningful difference in underserved communities. Burna Boy’s generosity and passion for giving back inspires us all, and this outreach stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and compassion,” Ayerite added.
Renowned for its impactful community programmes The REACH Foundation, managed the outreach, ensuring that essential supplies and resources were distributed effectively. Burna Boy’s philanthropy through the Foundation highlights his dedication to making a difference in the lives of everyday Nigerians.
