
Reputed for her engaging live performances and meticulous song selection, multi award-winning Nigerian disc jockey (DJ) and record producer, Olawunmi Okerayi, professionally known DJ Lambo, will captivate fans and music lovers waith her sound, an eclectic fusion of Afrobeats, Afro-house, Afropop and Hip Hop on ‘Africa Now’, Apple Music’s expanded flagship African music playlist and radio brand.
In a bid to serve its users better, Apple Music, a subscription-based music streaming service platform, offering access to over 100 million songs has included a new monthly DJ Mix dubbed ‘Africa Now’, created exclusively for the platform.
Speaking about the development, DJ Lambo whose career as a DJ was influenced by her father, DJ Tony Lewis, said, “There’s almost no greater feeling than pushing the African music narrative further while having a party.”
Over the last decade, DJ Lambo has built a thriving career as a forward-thinker and trendsetter, and is currently signed to Burna Boy’s label Spaceship Collective, while also on tour at the moment with the Grammy Award winner.
She was named the head and president of Choc Boi Nation (CBN), a record imprint of Chocolate City Music on June 14, 2017. With this announcement she became one of the major female record label executives in the music industry in Nigeria.
