Okpekete master, Kcee has revealed that most people thought he was going to fail when he broke up with his partner, Presh. Recall that the duo, were members of the music collective, KCPresh.

Prior to the split of the group, they were part of the Afro-pop revolution in the Nigerian music scene.Speaking on how people reacted to their separation, Kcee said: “People didn’t believe in the brand; they said Presh has a better voice. Close family friends told me: ‘Are you sure you can do this? Presh sings better’.

“With my experience, I know it is not by talent alone. The music is important and some other elements, but the most important is what God says about you. I believed what God said about me and held unto that,” he added.

The Limpopo crooner also recounted the negative comments people wrote about him on social media. “A lot of people wrote on the internet: ‘You need to go back to Onitsha and start selling clothes’. My sister’s friend told me to go and beg Presh. When people say those negative things, I get my vibes from there. When you say negative things about me, you give me fuel to accelerate.”
