Nigeria’s A-list artists, including Olamide, Burna Boy, Seyi Vibez, Tiwa Savage, Niniola, Phyno, Lojay, and Wizkid trilled the massive audience that participated in the greater Lagos concert held at TBS.

Afrobeat superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, used the occasion of the concert to announce his return to Nigeria. The Greater Lagos Concert held on December 31, 2024 at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos was organized by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture as part of the state’s efforts to promote tourism and celebrate the vibrant culture of Lagos.

This concert themed “Greater Lagos,” took place across five major locations in the state: Ikorodu, Ikeja, Badagry, Epe, and the main stage at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

The concert attracted a massive audience, including top government officials such as Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson.

This year’s Greater Lagos Concert was filled with electrifying performances, fun moments, and live bands and people from different parts of the state gathered to enjoy the music, dance, and celebrations that marked the end of the year and welcomed 2025 in style.

The concert is fast becoming a tradition in Lagos. The first edition, held in December 2023 at Sol by Box Mall, Oniru, set the tone for what has now become a much-anticipated annual event. That edition also featured performances from top artists like Olamide, Seyi Vibez, and other stars, making it a huge success.

The Greater Lagos Concert has not only provided entertainment but also served as a platform to unite Lagosians and showcase the state’s vibrant arts and culture scene.
