RMD, Enyinna Nwigwe join Glenfiddich at Grand Château’s unveiling
In an extraordinary two-day unveiling, Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Glenfiddich’s Brand Ambassador, Enyinna Nwigwe as well as diplomats, influential business leaders and luxury aficionados were present as Glenfiddich introduced its latest masterpiece, the 31-Year-Old Grand Château in Lagos and Abuja.
Held at the prestigious Wings Complex in Lagos and the iconic Transcorp Hilton in Abuja respectively, select guests indulged in the grandeur of the exceptional whisky as each launch was tailored for discerning whisky collectors, connoisseurs and influential figures, solidifying Glenfiddich’s status among the upper echelon of fine spirits.
Each evening began with an evocative introduction by Eddie Madaki, Prestige Manager for William Grant and Sons, who took attendees through Glenfiddich’s storied Grand Series, culminating with the Grand Château. Aged in American oak casks, the 31-Year-Old Grand Château receives its distinct profile from a nine-year finishing in a unique red wine casks from the iconic Bordeaux region in France.
Guests were captivated by the bottle’s artistry, designed by celebrated French graffiti artist André Saraiva, whose iconic Mr. A character peeks through a vibrant vineyard scene, transforming each bottle into a collector’s treasure.
In both Lagos and Abuja, the launch events were elevated with culinary delights crafted by renowned Chef, Angelos Gonzalzes, accompanied by the Single Malt whisky.
Nwigwe and Ledrop’s Prestige Manager, Ogwa Iweze, led guests in an immersive tasting experience, concluding with an electrifying after-party in collaboration with Delphino’s Brunch Entertainment, an Onoja Adole initiative, featuring DJ Ani Daya and DJ Big N, just as the Abuja event enjoyed Shyne’s band refined fusion of Afrobeats, Soul and Jazz, serenading guests well into the night.
