Engr. Dr Sadiq Mustapha: The Resilient Entrepreneur With Globalisation Mindset

Eng Dr Sadiq Mustapha the Group Managing Director of Trade and Tech Group is a diligent and dedicated entrepreneur with a global mindset. Less than a decade in business he had taken Trade and Tech Group to greater heights with head office in Kano , a branch in Abuja and liaison offices all over the world .

A company that started as a single company has grown to a conglomerate delving into Construction,Real Estate, Procurement, Logistics and Technical Services among others.

That is why the Guardian counted him worthy to be part of the Spotlight on the 100 Most Strategic CEO’s of 2025.He was grateful to the Guardian for seeing his modest business strides worthy.

Engineer Dr Sadiq Mustapha was fascinated by technology and innovation..After earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree (B.Engineering )in Electrical/Electronic at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Nigeria, he stepped up his quest for knowledge by attending the Quality Management Training Course ,organized by Nigeria infrastructural Forum (NQIF).

To horn his business antenna,Dr.Mustapha also attended Institute of Innovation and Professional Development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) for Automation System Professional Course among others.

From Humble Beginnings

Born in Kano in 1982, Engr Mustapha’s entrepreneurial spirit was sparked at a younger age . Growing up in Kano, he was fascinated by technology and innovation so he horned his technological prowess by his unstoppable passion.

He says: ” the technical side of Trade and Tech Group began in my school days, I will sit with technicians repairing phones and TV sets .This later evolved into high-tech activities like electrical switchgear production and later secured us specialist engineering contracts.

This practical experience has led to the production of topnotch electrical switchgear, automation and control systems which led to productive technical services and engineering contracts.

He went on, “Trade and Tech Group which was incorporated in 2018 started with local trading, buying goods in Lagos and selling them in northern Nigeria. Overtime it evolved into international trade with global partners.

Trade and Tech Group which started as single company has now metermophosed into a group of companies with multidimensional business portfolios.

Fellow, Nigeria Society of Engineers (FNSE), Registered Engineer, Council for the Registration of Engineering in Nigeria ( COREN) ,Fellow, Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria (FIMC) Member, Project Managers Institute USA and member , Institute of Electrical/Electronic Engineering (IEEEC) among others.

Definitely his leadership and transparency in business had attracted several diplomatic honor and global Awards. He was honored with Justice of Peace (JP) by International Human Rights Ambassadors Organisation,UK,

Global Peace Ambassador bestowed on him by the World Human Rights and Peace Commission and Head of Global Social Works and Cultural Activities by Leeway Peace and Human Rights Foundation Nigeria. Another feather was added to his cap accolades when the prestigious Leadtimes Africa magazine nominated him as the Business Man of the year 2023..
