AITEO, Ethiopian Airlines for honours at Super Eagles Supporters Club fund raising, awards night
Nigeria’s foremost oil and gas company, AITEO has been included on the long list of organisations and individuals earmarked for honours in the maiden Fund Raising and Awards Night of the Super Eagles Supporters Club. It will hold on Friday, May 24 at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos.
A statement from the secretariat of the Super Eagles Supporters Club yesterday said: “In view of AITEO’s enormous contributions to the development of football in the country and Africa in general, we had no choice than to include the company among the leading award recipients on the night.”
National Chairman of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, Prince Vincent Okumagba said the Executive Vice President of AITEO, Mr Francis Peters would be present to receive the awards on behalf of the company. “They [AITEO] have done so much in renergising the sports sector, particularly football. You can’t talk of Nigerian football without mention of the company. They have taken over the sponsorship of the NFF and CAF annual awards and also the FA Cup.”
Also included on the list awardees are Ethiopian Airlines, ADRON HOMES and YETKEM.
A top official of the Super Eagles Supporters Club revealed that the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu would be the royal father of the day.
Other awardees include Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi and Kessington Adebutu, Sports Minister, Barr. Solomon Dalung and Nigeria Football Federation President and CAF Vice President, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick. Both will also serve as the Distinguished Guest of Honour and Special Guest of Honour respectively.
