CHAN Eagles to face defending champion, Senegal in Group D
The Super Eagles team B has been drawn in Group D of the African Nations Championship, CHAN, which will hold in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, in August this year.
The draw conducted in Nairobi, Kenya, yesterday, saw the CHAN Eagles drawn in a relatively fair Group D, which has defending champions Senegal, Sudan and Congo Brazzaville.
Group D is the only that has four teams, while the three other groups have five teams. Some sports analysts have tipped Senegal as the only team likely to pose a hurdle for the Super Eagles Team B in the group.
The Group of Death will be Group A, which has co-hosts Kenya, two-time champions Morocco, Angola, DR Congo and Zambia. The tournament was moved from February 1-28 to August by the Confederations of African Football (CAF) on Tuesday.
