FIFA-certified pitch builder Ebi Egbe has declared that blackmail and witch-hunting cannot overshadow the truth in the race to fix the wrongs in Nigeria’s football. He also stressed that facts will ultimately prevail in the ongoing discourse surrounding football infrastructural development in the country.

Speaking against the backdrop of recent attacks on critics of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on the current state of the country’s football, the Bayelsa State-born Egbe maintained that the growth of football requires transparency, professionalism, and accountability, rather than false accusations, personal attacks, and efforts aimed at diverting attention from the issues that matter.

According to him, stakeholders in the football sector must be willing to engage in constructive discussions and allow facts, evidence, and professional standards to guide decisions concerning the development and maintenance of sporting facilities.

Egbe stated that genuine contributions to Nigerian football should not be undermined by intimidation or campaigns designed to tarnish the reputation of individuals committed to improving the country’s football infrastructure.

He further noted that attempts to suppress the truth may only provide temporary distractions, insisting that facts would eventually emerge and speak louder than allegations, threats, or personal attacks.
