Former Super Eagles star Paul Okoku has extended a hand of generosity to the pupils of St. Paul’s Primary School, Costain, Lagos, by donating brand-new school uniforms and writing materials through his charitable organisation, the Greater Tomorrow Children Foundation.

The donation ceremony, held on Tuesday at the school premises, was attended by Tijani Tajudeen, Executive Secretary of the Lagos Mainland Education Authority Board, along with excited parents and delighted students. “Paul Okoku has demonstrated true leadership and selflessness,” Ipaye said. “This act of love towards these children is remarkable, and I pray that God continues to uplift him in all his endeavors.”

Benson added, “Paul Okoku is a gift to this generation. He consistently supports causes that promote the welfare of children, and we are blessed to have someone like him in our society.”

Speaking from Atlanta, USA, Paul Okoku emphasized the critical importance of investing in primary education.

“Primary schools are the foundation of education, yet they are often overshadowed by secondary schools and universities,” Okoku remarked. “How many of us have gone back to support the primary schools that laid the foundation for our success? These schools are in dire need of resources and infrastructure.”

A Call to Collective Action

Okoku called on individuals, public figures, and communities to rally behind primary education, stressing that even small gestures could have a transformative impact.

“Let’s move beyond discussing failed leadership and focus on the immediate change we can create,” he said. “Supporting primary schools doesn’t always require financial donations. Acts like providing school supplies, sharing a story, or even visiting can inspire and uplift students. For public figures, a simple visit can leave a lasting impression.”

Okoku underscored the importance of primary education as the foundation for future success, noting, “Without a strong beginning, future growth becomes nearly impossible. By investing in these schools, we are not just improving facilities—we are building the future.”
