Al-Ahli have booked a medical for Victor Osimhen after the two parties reached a contract agreement worth a staggering €160 million.

According to TALKSport reporter, Ben Jacobs, in a post on his X account on Friday morning, Al-Ahli told Osimhen on Thursday that they want a final answer before lunch today.

Jacobs added that Napoli has already agreed to sell the Nigerian international for a fee of €68m plus add-ons.

“Total could be worth close to €80m. Osimhen has agreed on financials worth €160m over four years,” Jacobs said.

“Michael Emenalo has led negotiations. Al-Ahli optimistic since yesterday. Now on Osimhen to say yes to the project with club-to-club and player-to-club financials agreed.

“Chelsea will need to move fast with a counter if they wish to proceed, although clearly won’t match Saudi terms or close.”

Osimhen’s move to the Saudi Arabian Professional League is, however, in contrast with what his agent Roberto Calenda said last week.

The agent had said that his client still has so much to do in Europe. Calenda said this following media reports linking Osimhen with a summer transfer to Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia.

“Victor is not a package to be shipped far away to make room for new prophets,” the agent said.

“Victor still has so much to do IN EUROPE. Osimhen is a Napoli player with a contract recently renewed with mutual satisfaction.

“He made history and when there were major offers (also this year), we always accepted the club’s decisions.

“Victor was elected African footballer of the year and finished eight at the Ballon d’Or. There is need for respect and balance.”
