Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, wants Victor Osimhen to consider the option of joining Manchester United if the Red Devils make an offer.

The on-loan Galatasaray forward has been linked with a move to the Premier League giants this winter, but Osimhen is insisting he would finish the season at the Turkish Super Lig side.

But Yobo, a Premier League legend, who made 228 appearances in the Premier League and had 67 clean sheets, believes Ruben Amorim’s Red Devils have an exciting project which is just starting under their new gaffer.

“For me, it’s a no-brainer, Victor and Manchester United are a perfect fit and there’s no doubt he would thrive if they signed him.

“Even though they are struggling in the transition, Manchester United are still among the top three clubs in the world, and that is not going to change anytime soon.

“So, I will be honest with you; Victor should take the offer, if it comes. Their project is exciting with a new coach in Amorim, who is one of the best of his generation.”

“If Amorim wants to trust Victor to be one of the leaders of this project in transition, yes, I think he shouldn’t think twice, he should take it,’ Yobo told AfricaFoot.

Yobo, who played for Everton and Norwich City remains the first Nigerian player and one of only two to start all 38 games of a Premier League season.

A ten-man Manchester United, on Sunday, eliminated Arsenal on penalties in the third round of FA Cup. The victory came a few days after the Red Devils were forced to a draw by host Liverpool in the Premier League.
