Igor Tudor leaves Tottenham with immediate effect

Former Tottenham Hotspur coach, Igor Tudor

Coach Igor Tudor has left relegation-threatened Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur with immediate effect.

Tottenham confirmed Tudor’s departure on Sunday via a statement on its official social media platforms, with the club in a precarious situation in the Premier League.

“We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect,” the statement read.

“Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach.

“We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly. We also acknowledge the bereavement that Igor has recently suffered and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time.”

The club added that an update on a new head coach will be provided in due course.

Tudor’s mutual consent exit from Tottenham comes after only six weeks on the job, with his reign marked by zero win in the Premier League and a slide toward relegation.

Appointed as an emergency “firefighter” following the sacking of Thomas Frank, Tudor’s tenure ended after a 3-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest, leaving Spurs one point above the drop zone with seven Premier League games remaining.
