Rabiu Abdullahi, a dynamic young striker, has been making headlines in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The Nigerian U-20 international, who currently plays for Bayelsa United, has notched up an impressive five goals in 11 appearances, proving his worth as one of the most exciting prospects in the league.
A youth product of Tudun Wada United FC, a Kano-based club competing in the Nationwide League One (NLO), Rabiu’s journey to stardom is one of hard work and determination. His prolific form in the 2023 NLO season, where he scored an astounding 26 goals in 17 appearances across the NLO League, NLO Super League, and NLO Cup Northern Conference, earned him a well-deserved call-up to the Nigerian U-20 team.
Despite limited match appearances with Bayelsa United, Rabiu has continued to impress under the guidance of Coach Ladan Bosso, showcasing his ability to deliver in key moments for the team. His lethal finishing, agility, and intelligence on the pitch have drawn comparisons to some of Nigeria’s finest strikers.
