Turkish Super Lig club Hatayspor has congratulated Fisayo Dele-Bashiru on his first call-up to Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

On Monday, head coach Jose Peseiro released a 25-man squad for this month’s two friendly games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique in Portugal.

Dele-Bashiru was among the 25 players called up for the friendly games.

Reacting to his invitation, Hatayspor wrote on their X handle: ”We congratulate our 22-year-old player Dele Bashiru, who was called up to the Nigerian National Team for the first time, and wish him continued success.”

Dele-Bashiru is the younger brother to former Flying Eagles star Tom Dele-Bashiru.

This season, Dele-Bashiru has scored four goals in seven league appearances for Hatayspor.

After playing for the Manchester City youth team, whom he joined at the age of 8, he moved to Sheffield Wednesday in July 2020, signing for an undisclosed fee.

The Super Eagles will take on Saudi Arabia on Friday, October 13 and then on Monday, October 16, they will face Mozambique.

Both games will be played inside the Estadio Municipal De Portimao, Portugal.
