Kano, Borno qualify for Confluence Conference’s semifinals
Harmony Secondary School Lokoja, Kogi State has qualified for the semifinals of the Confluence Conference at the ongoing 18th Nestle Milo Secondary School Basketball Championship holding in Lokoja.
The Kogi Girls proved too strong for students of Government Girls Unity College Damaturu, who they thrashed 32 points to 03.
After the one sided game, captain of Kogi, Obatoyinbo Bidemi said, “I am happy we made it to the semi final… this is our first time in the championship and we lived up to expectation.”
In the second match of the quarterfinals, Government Secondary School Numan, Adamawa State looked very promising with a convincing 33 points to 03 victory against Girls High School Gindiri, Plateau State, while Government Secondary School, Jogona, Kano defeated Yagai Academy Jalingo, Taraba State by 11 to 09 points.
