Kanu to receive Queen’s Baton at Greensprings Football Camp

Super Eagles’ former Captain, Nwankwo Kanu is expected to receive the 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton at this year’s Greensprings Football Camp on April 4, the school has announced.

Super Eagles’ former Captain, Nwankwo Kanu is expected to receive the 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton at this year’s Greensprings Football Camp on April 4, the school has announced.

Kanu will join the management of Greensprings School, led by its Director, Lai Koiki to make the event exciting.

The former Arsenal star, who has been the face of the football camp in the last five editions, is eagerly looking forward to the 2017 edition of the vent rthat has helped in unearthing fresh talents for the country.

Kanu said: “I think this year will be more exciting for participants, as they will have the unique opportunity to experience the Queen’s Baton Relay; this event will definitely be a significant part of history, as the Queen’s Baton is heading for a world record of the longest relay race.”
