Kelechi Iheanacho’s brace takes Leicester City past Lille


Kelechi Iheanacho scored the two goals that propelled Leicester City to a 2-1 win over Lille on yesterday evening.The 21-year-old continued his outstanding display for Claude Puel’s men at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, scoring his third and fourth pre-season goal against the Great Danes.

With this development, the Nigerian international has continued his eye-catching performance in the Foxes’ preparatory games.After Lebo Mothiba had opened the scoring for Christophe Galtier’s side, Iheanacho brought his side back to contention with his 34th-minute effort.

The former Manchester City man then completed his brace in the 59th minute as the King Power Stadium outfit returned to winning ways after three winless run.The attacker later made way for Darnell Johnson, with compatriot Wilfred Ndidi was also withdrawn for Christian Fuchs.
