‘Le Meriden Ibom Golf Club ready for International Pairs national finals’

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Falcon Golf Development Company, Remi Olukoya, whose company organises the event, the Ikoyi qualifiers will feature about 70- teams, with the best 15-pairs qualifying for the national finals.

From Ikoyi, attention will shift to Port Harcourt Golf Club, venue for golfers from the South-South and South East region to fight for tickets on August 3 and 4, while golfers from the northern part of the country will converge on the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja for their regional qualifiers on September 21 and 22, Olukoya said.

He revealed that successful players would gather in Uyo from October 5 to 8 to battle for the right to represent Nigeria at the international championship.

“The winning pair will be given an all expense paid trip to Portugal where the world finals of International Pairs have been scheduled to hold from November 6 to 10.

“Also at stake are two business class return tickets to Lisbon, Portugal for the winners and an economy class return ticket to Paris for a hole-in-one on the famous Hole 12, Par 3 on Ibom Golf Resort by Air France and 25 per cent discount on the air fares for the anybody who wants to go with the winners to Portugal,” he added.
