MOC announces new date for Ezeji testimonial
Organizers of the Victor Ezeji Testimonial have announced a new date for the event. Originally billed to hold on December 10.Chairman of the Main Organizing Committee, China Acheru, yesterday revealed that the event will now hold December 17, citing the decision by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to hold re-run elections in Rivers State on December 10 for the change.
“We have been forced to alter our plans following INEC’s announcement. They have fixed re-run elections in the state for our initial chosen date, which is December 10.
“We have decided to reschedule the Victor Ezeji Testimonial for exactly a week later. That means the event will now hold on December 17,” he said.
Acheru, however, said the change in date would not distort the spirit and mood for the event, adding that the MOC’s plans would continue as scheduled.
“This does not change much. We will continue with our plans, only having in mind that the event will now be a week later than earlier planned.
“We are still very much committed to delivering a colourful event that will indeed be worthy of celebrating the Nigerian league legend called Ezeji,” he added.
