The Main Organising Committee (MOC) of the Seamaster ITTF Challenge Plus Nigeria Open has launched the media accreditation process for the Championships to be held in Lagos from August 7 to 11, 2019.

The five-day table tennis championship at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Hall of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, is set to be the one of the sport’s biggest event to be staged in Africa, with the world’s standout stars jostling to be part of the seven medal events.

The players will vie for honours in the men’s and women’s singles, U-21 men and women, men’s & women’s doubles and mixed doubles.

Interested media practitioners are directed to apply for accreditation on https://bit.ly/2IBUgcd before July 10, 2019.

The MOC said applications received after July 10 would not be considered.

The 2019 Seamaster ITTF Challenge Plus Nigeria Open will feature some of the top ranked players from all corners of the globe, but all eyes would be on home favourite, Aruna Quadri, who won the tournament for the first time in front of home fans last year.

In the meantime, all the build-up to the 2019 Seamaster ITTF Challenge Plus Nigeria Open are on social media with the official hashtag #NigeriaOpen2019.
