President of Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBB of C), Dr. Rafiu Ladipo has described the coming of Ace’s Solid Sports Promotion into Nigerian professional boxing scene as a development that will add values to the pugilist game in the country.

Ace’s Solid Sports Promotion, led by Tunde Adegbuyi, is scheduled to organise a boxing tournament tagged ‘Return of Victory Night’ inside Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall of the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere tomorrow, and Ladipo said the event is what Nigerian professional boxers need to showcase their talent after vigorous trainings.

Ladipo, who is also the President General of Nigerian Football and other Sports Supporters Club, believes that the packages put in place by Ace’s Solid Sports Promotion would motivate the boxers to continue looking forward to more of the ‘Return of Victory Night’.

The president who was so happy with the arrangements made for the bouts promised the best boxers of the night N50,000 to compliment the sum of N100,000 earlier planned by the promoter for the best boxer.

The female bout of the night will hold between Adebayo Damilola and Olamide Mustapha in the bantamweight category, while Aliu Ibrahim of Paramount Boxing Club will fight Fatai Ajadi of Star Boxing Club in the lightweight category.

Kabiru Salawu of Chester Boxing Club will battle Kazeem Saka of Kamlat Boxing Club in the Light welterweight category,  just as Taiwo Oyegunwa of the NSCDC will face Oluwasegun Mustapha of Aso Rock Boxing Club in the welterweight category. All the fights are in the amateur division.

In the professional cadre, Moses Odion will face Yusuf Olalekan in the 52kg six rounds bout, while Taiwo Agbaje battles Tunde Olajide in the 75kg six rounds fight.

In the welterweight contest, Ganiu Kolawole will take on Sunday Olalekan, while Hammed Ganiu fights Samuel Opaogun in light welterweight bout. All professional flights are six rounds.
