Super Eagles’ midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, reportedly flew into England yesterday to undergo the medical check up that will seal his £15 million move to Leicester City.

Ndidi did not attend Genk’s training session ahead of their cup game against Eupen, and several sources in Belgium confirmed that the 20-year-old is in England for medicals with Leicester City.

If his medicals sailed through, he will sign a five-year deal reportedly worth £20,000 a week as salary, and his transfer fee could rise to as high as £20 million based on performance.

Leicester City manager, Claudio Ranieri, views the Nigerian as a like for like replacement for departed France midfielder, N’golo Kante, who is now at Chelsea.

The deal will become official in January with Ndidi getting the number 25 jersey.

Ndidi’s arrival increases the number of Nigerians in Leicester City to three with Ahmed Musa and England youth player, Layton Ndukwu, already at the King Power Stadium.
