Safety Shooters and Niger United, yesterday, maintained their winning ways to boost their chances at the ongoing Prudent Energy Handball Premier League Phase One holding at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

In yesterday’s opening fixture, Safety Shooters outclassed Benue Buffaloes 34 to 26 to maintain their second position on the table, while defending champions, Niger United, overpowered De Defenders 34 to 19 to sustain their spot in the league.

The matches involving Lagos Seasiders against Police Machine and Kano Pillars versus Confluence Stars ended 31 to 31, 20 to 20 draws respectively.

Today, Benue Queens will meet Plateau Peacocks, Rima Queens will battle with Adorable Angels, Seasiders Babes will clash with Defenders Babes, while Edo Dynamos are pitted against Kada Queens in the women’s category.

Rima Strikers will begin today’s contests in the men’s category when they take on Safety Shooters, Benue Buffaloes will trade tackles with Police Machine, Owena Kings will meet De Defenders, Kada Stars battle with Kano Pillars, while Niger United will challenge Tojemarine Academy in the last game of the day.
