The national team, also known as Black Stallions, is the major property of the NRFF.

The South West CMB Building Maintenance & Investment Company- sponsored rugby league will resume this weekend at the main bowl of the National Stadium, Lagos, the organisers have revealed.

The league was postponed due to the national team’s (Black Stallions) participation in the just concluded West Africa Rugby Series Championship in Ghana, which involved many league players.

According to the organisers, the league promises to be exciting, as the rugby federation has put everything in place for the success of the competition.

The body announced that the date for the rescheduled games featuring Cowrie versus Eco 11 RFC and KCOB versus Police RFC would be disclosed after due consultations by the league managers.

The NRFF called on rugby lovers to come out en masse to the national stadium on Saturday by 12.00 p.m. to watch the best of rugby games in Nigeria.

The NRFF President, Kelechukwu Mbagwu assured fans that rugby under his leadership would witness visible transformation, saying that grassroots development of the sport remained his key objective.
