Victor Osimhen’s alleged refusal to listen to offers this January, especially from Manchester United, which could have brought in € 81 million for the Serie A side, has reportedly infuriated Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Osimhen was loaned by Napoli to Turkish Super Lig side, Galatasaray in September 2024 and has contributed 13 goals and five assists in 16 matches for the yellow and red.

The Nigerian forward has played an important role in the team’s league lead and unbeaten run in Europe, leading Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim to ask for him to beef up his attack.

However, Osimhen, according to La Repubblica, did not respond to Amorim’s request. The newspaper reported that despite Manchester United’s agreement with Napoli, Osimhen’s desire to stay at Galatasaray prevented the transfer from taking place.

Osimhen has thus blocked the possibility of bringing in €81 million for Napoli if he was transferred during the January transfer window, which reportedly infuriated De Laurentiis.

According to La Repubblica, De Laurentiis has now sent word to Galatasaray to sign Osimhen at the end of the season.
