Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)’s Safety Babes, yesterday, boosted their chance of winning the title after beating the Defender Babes 23 to 27 in the female category of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League holding at the M.K.O. Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

In the other match, Imo Grasshoppers outmuscled Kada Queens 32 to 24 to finish strongly on the table but missed out in their title chase.

Bayelsa Queens on the other hand, managed to beat Seasider Babes 31 to 30 in an unimportant contest for the Lagos based Seasiders who had come to the championship with the hope of winning the premier league.

The Police Machine team, which escaped relegation in the male category, had defeated Plateau Vipers 29 to 26.

On the last day of the challenge, Kada Stars will slug it out with Confluence Stars, while COAS Shooters will take on D Defenders, as Niger United will lock horns with title contender, Safety Shooters. And in the last game, Rima Strikers will confront title contender, Kano Pillars.

Meanwhile, bottom placed Bayelsa Queens will battle with Plateau Peacocks, as high-flying Edo Dynamos will try to finish strongly as they clash against the Adorable Angels in the last fixture of the female cadre.
