Seven years after his death, the family of former Bendel Insurance coach, the late Solomon Ogbeide, say they have every reason to thank God.
Speaking on life after their patriarch, the wife of the late coach, who also trained Sunshine Stars of Akure and Lobi Stars of Makurdi, Mrs Ndidi Ogbeide, said that God has remained faithful with the family, stressing that though they continue to miss him, the Lord has been helping them to weather the shock of his absence.
“Today is seven years after my husband and lovely father died, and we glorify God for standing by us.
“With His grace and mercy, we’ve been strong. The children are doing great, though they continue to miss their father.
“But Solo is a good man who continues to guide the children and me. The legacy of a good and Godly life he lived is radiating over us. We get things done with little effort when people realise we’re his family. I thank God that the coach was a believer and a pillar in God’s vineyard. May his soul continue to rest in peace,” she said.
Mrs Ogbeide also appreciated some friends of her late husband for their continued support.
“Some of his friends have also been helpful. At short notice, they are ready to assist the family; we’re grateful.”
