The Super Falcons squad for this year’s Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand has been unveiled.

The Super Falcons squad for this year’s Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand has been unveiled.

The 23-player squad which was announced on Friday, was published on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Twitter handle.

Among notable names listed for the tournament include Assiat Oshoala, Ashleigh Plumptre, Onome Ebi, Desire Oparanozie, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Francisca Ordega, Rasheedat Ajibade, Uchenna Kanu and Gift Monday.

Others are Osinachi Ohale, Halimatu Ayinde, Ifeoma Onumonu, Toni Payne, Michelle Alozie Tochukwu Oluehi.

Also included are former Falconets stars Deborah Abiodun, Rofiat Imuran and Tosin Demehin.

The Super Falcons are in Group A with co-host Australia, Olympic champions Canada and debutant Republic of Ireland.

They will take on Canada on July 21 before facing Australia on July 27.

On July 31, they will end the group phase when they take on the Republic of Ireland.

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup will kick off on July 20 and end on August 20.
