Oparanozie will be fit
AWCONSuper Falcons’ Coach, Florence Omagbemi, has said the focus is to beat Ghana and not to think of past rivalry.Speaking with journalists after yesterday’s training session, Omagbemi said the focus ahead the second group match was just to win like they did against Mali.

“The same way we focused against Mali on Sunday is how we are going to face Ghana. If their coach is thinking of past rivalry between the two countries, I am not looking at it from that angle. We take the games as they come. Not about past rivalry,” she said.

Omagbemi also said there was nothing to worry about the situation of top striker, Desire Oparanozie, who has fitness issues in the championship.

The foreign-based striker was said to have got a knock in their last friendly match against a male side in Abuja and doctors have advised she should be placed on observation.

Omagbemi said: “We have 21 players in the team. Everyone is good to play. It is time for Oparanozie to play, she will play,” she added.
