Worried by the myriads of challenges facing the country, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has beseeched God to intervene in affairs of the nation and make things new again for the country.

Adeboye, who ministered at the monthly Thanksgiving Service at the RCCG headquarters, The Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos prayed against stagnation, banditry, kidnapping, and economic retrogression.

Speaking on the theme: “Season Of Jubilation,” the cleric, who also prayed for widows and the fatherless, described God as God of mercy, Who forgives, reverses bad situation and gives a new beginning.

The General Overseer who called on Nigerians to realise their mistakes and sincerely seek God’s face for mercy, assured them of God’s intervention in the nation.

He said: “If anyone is in trouble because of mistakes, he has made and repents, God will give him a new beginning.

“New beginning of joy, success, promotion, anointing, victory. This is an opportunity for Nigerians to take advantage of the RCCG 70th anniversary to change their situations for the better.

“70 years in the scriptures signifies a period of Jubilee, which is a time to set the captives free. Jubilee is a decree from God. When God opens a door, no one can shut it and any power from the pit of hell that tries to stop any captive that God has set free will be consumed by fire.”

Adeboye who described Jubilee as an event when God commands all those who have been held bondage to be released, prayed that Nigerians and the country at large will experience freedom as they key in into the RCCG convention to celebrate the year of Jubilee, a year of total freedom.
